Pergamena is the last active tannery producing true skin parchment in the United States as a commercial venture. There are a few individuals I’m sure, but none that we know of that are beyond home made batches used for their own purposes. Pergamena meticulously handcrafts each parchment using carefully researched ancient methods and their own modern ingenuity.

Klise Manufacturing, Artisans of the Valley’s source for over 5,000 unique and high quality machine and hand carved wood products including moldings, corbels, appliques, rosettes, panels, columns, feet, and other unique items recently achieved their first Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certification!

Recently Horton Brasses announced a seventh finish available in their line of high quality reproduction furniture hardware. Six finishes has been the norm, so they decided to introduce something new, and this introduction is huge. It’s not as simple as a new product or size; instead they are offering an entirely new finish for every piece of brass hardware they make. Artisans of the Valley offers Horton Brasses hardware on all commissions and as options on their restoration projects.

Alaskan fishing guide and outpost owner of King Salmon based Blue Fly Guide Service Patricia Edel was recently featured on Adventure Guides airing on the Outdoor Life Channel. The final phase’s of Eric’s Masters Papers has been completed – the hand illuminated parchment has been mounted by The Queenstown Gallery in a custom solid oak shaddow box frame by Artisans of the Valley. Check out a preview feature of this project on our blog site; we’ll be releasing a feature article on the project soon!
